麻酔科梶田一郎 最後の報告
まあ昔から知り合いなわけだが、末期がんで最後に世の中に生きる証を残したいとのことで!

“Around 1997, I discovered?likely for the first time in the world?that
during emergence from general anesthesia, the sympathetic pupillary response
to verbal calling (pupillary dilation) recovers earlier than the
parasympathetic light reflex (pupillary constriction). I presented this
finding at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists in
Sapporo in 1999. Initially, I investigated this phenomenon under inhalational
anesthesia with oxygen, nitrous oxide, and sevoflurane, and later confirmed
the same results under total intravenous anesthesia with propofol and
remifentanil. The phenomenon was observed consistently regardless of the
anesthetic technique.”

“In 2013, at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical
Anesthesia in Tokushima, I further investigated pupillary dynamics during
anesthetic induction using a pupillometry device, while simultaneously
monitoring electroencephalographic activity with a BIS monitor. These studies
demonstrated that the disappearance of the sympathetic pupillary response to
verbal calling?what I termed the ‘calling-induced pupillary reflex,’ a
dilation response triggered when the patient’s own name is spoken and
midbrain auditory pathways are activated?occurred at a BIS value of
approximately 60. In contrast, the light reflex disappeared earlier, at BIS
values below approximately 65?70.
As these findings have never been published in a medical journal, the vast
majority of researchers worldwide remain unaware of this phenomenon, except
for those who witnessed my presentations, and no follow-up studies have been
conducted. I am therefore seeking collaborators who are interested in jointly
analyzing my data and preparing a manuscript for publication. Researchers who
wish to participate are invited to contact me at:
